Our journey to Prague started very early in Česky Krumlov, where Mike and I boarded a cheap student bus to Prague for the three hour trip. Once we arrived, I navigated the subway to get us to our hotel, where we promptly fell asleep. (Don't worry...a nap was absolutely part of my itinerary!) We awoke that evening refresh, I primped myself up and we took a long walk to the National Theatre of Prague. We had tickets to see a very interesting ballet...a combination of The Nutcracker and Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. It was a wonderful performance, and it was a delight to see all the happy children in the audience, dressed up in their Sunday best, and holding their mother's hands.
On our walk back to the hotel I saw this sign. I guess it's an endocrinologist!
We briefly walked by Wenceslas Square, where a Christmas Market was in full swing.
They call this "Old Prague Ham". It smells...amazing.
Texas Holdem!
The Powder Tower is the original Gothic gate of the town wall, built to store the city's gunpowder. This is the only surviving bit of a wall built to defend Prague in the 1400s.
This is just a shopping mall near our hotel, but the windows are lit up as an advent calendar!
